Chasing down a missing A/C phase wire for a cargo door actuator.

Found it! Image after wires wiped down. Initially, things didn't look so promising. Our wire was only one open.

The majority of this wiring was Kapton . It's NOT a good thing when one shorts out.

At least with the older aircraft, circuit beakers didn't typically pop with Kapton wiring. AirTran's FWD cargo pit got engulfed when ground flood light wiring overheated, not popping the breaker, and the fire happened. This was after the Value Jet crash.

This was "A" phase 115VAC on a 20 gauge wire. The breaker did not pop. It sure looked like there was enough current to pop it.

Scary shit though.
